COSMO is a chain of world buffet restaurants with 20 branches across the UK and Ireland, originally founded in 2003. They specialise in an all-you-can-eat buffet concept, offering a wide variety of cuisines from around the world under one roof.

We work with the COSMO Restaurant Group to coordinate monthly influencer, blogger, and regional press visits to review target branch locations. We also manage local announcements, promoting restaurant refurbishments to the press and organising press and influencer attendance at events.

This activity aims to generate authentic, user-generated content and regular reviews from local influencers, bloggers, and local press, helping to amplify brand reach and awareness both online and within the local communities where COSMO restaurants are located. The client has agreed on a KPI of three linked pieces of coverage per month.

Targeted media list building

Our media list-building strategy takes a tailored approach, compiling relevant contacts based on the restaurant’s location for organised reviews. These lists include influential bloggers, high-authority websites, and individuals with a strong social media presence.

 

Blogger and influencer marketing 

Bloggers and influencers connect brands with engaged audiences genuinely interested in their products or services. They showcase the brand in a way that resonates with their followers, generating user content that can be repurposed across multiple channels for greater impact. Strong relationships with influencers ensure ongoing exposure, increasing brand visibility as their audience grows.

We establish relationships with influencers and bloggers to generate coverage. This includes organising event attendance or complimentary experiences in exchange for reviews. Clear communication is key to aligning on content details, target links, anchor text, social media tags, and hashtags to maximise impact.

 

Restaurant event coordination

Events showcase a brand’s products, services, and expertise, while digital PR amplifies their impact through press, influencer coverage, and valuable links.

We support COSMO Restaurants in launching new locations by generating media attention, inviting key contacts, and ensuring strong attendance. To achieve this, we target influencers, bloggers, local press, and businesses.

We share pre-event press releases with local and industry media, followed by post-event coverage. Press kits include high-quality images, quotes, and key details to highlight the restaurant’s unique selling points. 

Influencers, bloggers and the press receive personalised invites with VIP access and incentives, while our team tracks coverage and boosts post-event visibility through social media activations and hashtags.

 

SEO-focused PR tactics

We incorporate SEO-focused PR tactics to secure backlinks and enhance online visibility while strengthening brand awareness through active engagement with local businesses and key industry figures.

The results Open Tabbed Content

In 2024, our digital PR efforts led to a 119% increase in media coverage, growing from 36 to 79 placements year-on-year. We not only expanded reach but also improved quality, with the average domain rating of secured links rising from 38 to 55. Notably, 62 placements came from high-authority sites (DR 60+), and 92% included direct backlinks, enhancing SEO performance. We secured 80 features in top regional publications, including The Sun and The Yorkshire Post, and extended our reach through 27 pieces of blogger and influencer coverage, driving visibility across both major media and niche audiences. 

We supported COSMO Norwich’s relaunch with high-authority coverage in the Norwich Evening News and Eastern Daily Press, and a BBC Radio Norfolk interview. The launch event had 200 attendees, surpassing expectations, and generated strong social media engagement with 419,704 views and 3,933 likes. Coverage and guest feedback highlighted the food, service, and overall experience.

Our digital PR strategy boosted COSMO’s SEO and organic visibility by securing high-authority links and increasing coverage. Collaborations with bloggers and regional media strengthened the backlink profile, while a focus on on-site quality and location page optimisation enhanced overall online performance.
