Content Writer

Salary: £32k – £36k + health insurance + 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

Based: Mandatory two days per week in our Old Street office

We are on the lookout for a Content Writer to create and deliver content for our clients across a wide range of industries, targeting B2B and B2C audiences. You will be part of a collaborative and forward thinking agency, focused on delivering high quality, results driven content.

You will be working across a range of clients, leading on conversion focused website copy, blog copy, and long form content. We are looking for someone with a firm understanding of SEO, and demonstrable experience of delivering great results from their content. A creative and enthusiastic self-starter who likes to think innovatively, and who shows enthusiasm for creating first class content.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast paced environment.

The role

Day to day activity will vary depending on the requirements of our clients, but will include:

  • Production of well-researched, accurate and intelligent copy, typically in the form of blog posts, long-form guides, e-books, product descriptions, commercial pages for diverse B2B and B2C clients, adapting tone of voice and simplifying complex topics into engaging, on-brand content.
  • Proofreading and editing of others’ writing
  • Supporting marketing initiatives by producing engaging copy for the agency website
  • Working with our SEO specialists to develop copy that meets SEO best practice

The perfect candidate

  • 3+ years of experience in content writing
  • Strong copywriting skills, with impeccable grammar, punctuation, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent storytelling and copywriting abilities, with experience adapting content for different purposes and audiences.
  • Knowledge of on-page SEO best practices and how to apply that in your writing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organised, with high attention to detail and good project management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Good research and analytical skills: To gain an accurate understanding of the subject in question/client tone of voice
  • The ability to digest complex information and produce accessible, highly readable content
  • Versatility: The ability to write in different styles to fit the clients’ audience and to create different types of written content
