Electric Umbrella – Charity of the year
We’ve worked with many charities over the years at Distinctly. It’s really important to us to support our community and many of the charities that we have worked with have been very local to our Rickmansworth office.
For the past few years, we’ve adopted a ‘Charity of the year’ model so that we can work very closely with one team and get everyone at Distinctly involved in making a tangible difference to one organisation. We’re passionate about so many causes that it’s always a challenge to choose who to support.
Last year we worked with New Hope, a charity based in Watford which supports the local homeless and vulnerably-housed community. We thoroughly enjoyed fundraising, volunteering and supporting their team with digital marketing support across the year and their team were so appreciative of all the help that we provided.
This year, our team has voted to work with another wonderful charity that does so much positive work within the community – Electric Umbrella.
They create amazing live music experiences with learning disabled people. Their community has the opportunity to work with professional musicians and they have a vast array of productions from Open Mic nights to Singalongs and throughout the year they perform in front of tens of thousands of people. Music can have a magical, inspiring impact and it truly brings positive change to the lives of those in their community.
We can’t wait to get started as we love nothing more than a productive partnership with an organisation that shares similar values to us and Electric Umbrella certainly does that. Fundamentally, just like at Distinctly, they believe that given the right support, and fantastic opportunities, anyone can be a superstar.
