The Brief

Nine Group approached Distinctly for digital PR services in summer 2017, after the Group’s founder and director Vivek Chadha was nominated for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year ‘Rising Star’ award.

After building a working relationship over a number of successful campaigns, Nine Group approached Distinctly to promote the newly opened Crowne Plaza Basingstoke hotel.

Campaign goals were discussed and agreed upon with Vivek, aiming to increase the awareness of the Crowne Plaza Basingstoke and the Nine Hotel Group brand in local news publications and hospitality trade publications.

What we delivered

We created bespoke press releases for both trade and local publications and collated material to support the press releases, including relevant imagery and quotes from Vivek.

We then outreached to and liaised with key journalists to deliver press placements. Adaptable in our approach, we were also able to arrange video interviews with Vivek.

We achieved an increased awareness for the hotel opening, with an estimated 26.6K lifetime coverage views.
