When LBTA hosted an event with the world-renowned stylist, Patrick Cameron, we immediately spotted a great opportunity to leverage the event for Digital PR and SEO.

The Brief

LBTA (London Beauty Training Academy) is the new school brought to us by LHAA (London Hairdressing Apprenticeship Academy). They offer anyone wanting to progress their career in the beauty and makeup industry the chance to do so through a network of over 325 salons across London, Essex, and Hertfordshire.

As a new brand, they needed SEO support from the ground up. This included the support and optimisation of the new site build, through to promoting the new service using both SEO and PPC. The goal was to start appearing in the top 10 for competitive keywords such as “london beauty academy” and “beauty traineeship”.

LBTA were launching in brand new premises in Chiswick with an exclusive event hosted by legendary stylist Patrick Cameron. The brief was to invite a range of top-tier, reputable London fashion writers and bloggers to attend the event, take photos, meet those involved and write about the event with the view to getting back links to support the SEO goals.

What we delivered

Hairdressers throughout the world are always on the lookout for inspiration, as are those in the media within the hair and beauty industry. We handpicked three leading bloggers to attend (at short notice!), who later, blogged and linked to the LBTA website. Natasha Todd, Fran from FrannyMac and Claudine from Nature’s Natural Hair were in attendance and helped make the event a fantastic success.

After only 4 months since launch, LBTA are listed on Google for many of their target keywords.

Our Final thoughts

Combining existing marketing with SEO is a great way to get more value from a single campaign – especially events which can be costly. We always encourage clients to involve us in all their marketing plans.
